Mogollon
Graphic Artists
Mogollon / (mo-go-yon) / Spanish slang word for Plenty or Abundance. Commonly used to signify “a lot,” e.g.,“I like you mogollon.”
Coming from similar film and art backgrounds, Francisco López and Mónica Brand got together in 2004 to form Mogollon; a creative outlet for producing alluring imagery across virtually every platform.
Over its 11 years of existence, Mogollon has established an iconic, timeless and visionary body of work in its various contributions with art, film, music and fashion projects worldwide.
Unafraid of combining bold shapes and colors, Mogollon has developed a visual language that proves itself fresh and unique throughout the years. Francisco and Monica like to think of Mogollon as an imaginative studio where intuition and inspiration are as valuable as executing an idea.
Mogollon has had the privilege of collaborating with inspiring individuals and institutions from across all industries: Visionintoart, PS1/MoMA, American Ballet Theater, Paola Prestini, Wooster Group, Alicia Key’s Keep a Child Alive, Sundance Channel, Jeffrey Zeigler, Courtney Barnett, Katy Perry, Sui Zhen, Kelys, SIA, Nelly Furtado, Sony UK, Warner Brothers, Interscope, Matador Records, Waldorf Astoria, Lotte Avenuel, Nike, Uniqlo, GasBook Japan, Keds and Diesel among others.
Mogollon has exhibited its work at PS1/MoMA (NYC), MAD Museum (NYC), Monkey Town (NYC), A Shaded View on Fashion Film Festival at the Centre Pompidou (Paris) and Diesel Art Gallery (Tokyo). Mogollon’s work has been featured in some prestigious publications such as Wallpaper, Vogue JP, Brain Magazine JP, +81 JP, Computer Arts UK, Grafik, NeoGeo, Not Magazine.
Most currently, Francisco and Monica from Mogollon, are honored to have been invited to serve as graphic artists in residence for National Sawdust.
