James has worked in a range of Live Music and Event Production roles throughout NYC and beyond before joining the National Sawdust team. James grew up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, and after studying Event Management at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, arrived in Brooklyn almost three years ago. After getting his start with the artist management and strategy consultant group United for Opportunity, he has gone on to work in production and planning for live events such as Moogfest, MoMA PS1’s the Warm-Up Series, the Levi’s Commuter Workspace and more. Most recently James helped to manage the Box Office Operations of the performing arts venue SubCulture New York.
With a deep commitment to the varied and meaningful programming National Sawdust presents, James is excited to bring his experience to such a forward thinking organization. As he is first and foremost a passionate music fan himself, he’s right at home with the National Sawdust team.
