About the Show
Sparked by your passionate dialogue and debate at National Sawdust’s impromptu town-hall two nights after the election, National Sawdust is dedicating a monthly series to a town hall discussion that focuses on crucial questions of our time: How did we get here? What can we do to create change and make an impact? These Town Hall series will be streamed on Facebook Live, and all proceeds will go to an activist group co-sponsoring the event.
This evening’s TOWN HALL falls on the first day of National Sawdust’s Spring Revolution and will share the Revolution’s theme of Female Empowerment. Discussion will be guided by NS Director of Artistic Planning, Courtenay Casey, Antoine de Jong (UN WOMEN), Amanda Gookin (CELLIST), Carla Dirlikov Canales (THE CANALES PROJECT), Alyse Nelson (VITAL VOICES GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP), and will be opened to the audience with the intention to spark action within the community.
