This session begins with a solo performance by vocalist Julia Easterlin, followed by a series of talks, including The Atlantic’s Katherine Wells with Flora Lichtman, host of “The Adaptors” podcast, on science; Jon Tyson of Trinity Grace Church on religion; and Comedy Central’s Matt Porter on modular evolution. Closing out the session will be three short films: “We Are Dead Stars,” an interview with a cosmologist about the origin of life; “Voyager,” an abstract portrayal of human life to extra-terrestrials with live score elements; and “Sea Chair,” about a chair made from melted trash gyre particles.
