Jog Blues

Jog Blues is a group that brings together masters of Jazz, Blues and Indian Classical music in a 21st century mix, creating an experience drawing from deep traditions but swinging towards the future. The band is named for Jog, the Indian midnight raga, and the blues, the most American of music genres.

Each of these musical traditions balance compositions and known forms with deep and exhilarating improvisations. They require the musicians to deeply listen to each other: what results is a journey into the suffering, joys and liberation of the human experience.
