J. Hoard is a Brooklyn based singer and songwriter. This summer he released an EP entitled “Feel Good”. The songs on the EP are reflective and intended to provide healing and peace to the listener via dope beats and vibrant melodies.
In the past year, he’s performed and shared bills with Bilal, Sonnymoon, The Stepkids, Kimbra, and Pharoahe Monch. Additionally, last year he successfully provided a jazz choral program for the 1st Annual Jazz Festival of Xalapa, Mexico as well as made his debut Montreal Jazz Festival and CMJ performances.
J. Hoard’s recent single, “Arctic”, has gotten excellent response. The Phil Collins-India Arie mix seems to have struck a chord amongst his listeners! Always more to come with J. Hoard.

Saxophonist and composer, Hailey Niswanger (pronounced “NICE–wonger”), graduated in December of 2011 with a B.A. in Jazz Performance from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, on a full scholarship. Born February 12, 1990 in Houston, Hailey grew up in Portland, Oregon, and now currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. Hailey has shared the stage with Esperanza Spalding, DeeDee Bridgewater, George Duke, Joe Lovano, Terri Lyne Carrington, Harvey Mason, Phil Woods, James Moody, Christian McBride, McCoy Tyner, Maceo Parker, Wynton Marsalis, Ralph Peterson Jr., and other jazz greats. Hailey leads her own quartet that has performed at the Portland Jazz Festival (2015), Cathedral Park Jazz Festival (2015), Northampton Jazz Festival (2013), Saratoga Jazz Festival (2012, 2010), Red Clay Jazz Festival (2011), Salem Jazz Festival (2011), Beaches International Jazz Festival (2010), Elkhart Jazz Festival (2010), Mary Lou Williams Jazz Festival (2009), Tri-C Jazz Festival (2009), The Blue Note Jazz Club in New York, Jimmy Mak’s Jazz Club, other venues around Portland and the Northeast, and has given clinics to jazz students of all ages.  Hailey was part of Esperanza Spalding’s Radio Music Society, touring the United States, Europe, Asia, Curaçao, and Cape Verde. Hailey has also appeared with the Ralph Peterson fo’tet and sextet, performing at the Pittsburg Jazz Festival, the Side Door Jazz Club, and Smalls Jazz Club in New York City. She is a member of the Wolff & Clark Expedition, a band formed by pianist, Michael Wolff, and drummer, Mike Clark, and was featured on their latest album, Wolff & Clark Expedition 2.  Hailey has been a reoccurring guest soloist with The Soul Rebels Brass Band, and has performed with Demi Lovato on Saturday Night Live, and noise pop duo Sleigh Bells on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the Late Show with David Letterman. Hailey has released 3 albums as a leader, Confeddie (2009), The Keeper (2012) and PDX Soul (2015), and has been featured in articles for the Wall Street Journal, DownBeat Magazine, and NPR. Hailey has been listed among the DownBeat critics poll for rising star on alto and soprano saxophone for three consecutive years (2013, 2014, 2015).

Arthur Moon is the moniker of composer/singer Lora-Faye Ashuvud. A Swede raised in Brooklyn, Ashuvud studied contemporary art at Smith College and moved back to New York shortly after graduating to begin her career in music. Despite being self-taught (she still does not read music), her songwriting and singing quickly earned her several prestigious awards, including the Grand Prize from NPR’s Mountain Stage-sponsored NewSong contest at Lincoln Center. With the Arthur Moon project, Ashuvud turns towards her self-taught perspective, embracing a way of making her electro-tinged rock music that’s decidedly (and intentionally) incorrect. The debut release – an EP called Our Head – is a four-song foray into what Stereogum calls the “evocative,” “spacious,” and “contemplative” terrain of Arthur Moon’s world, where lush vocals pull listeners into compositions that feel both soothing and unnerving.
The Arthur Moon band includes bassist Marty Fowler (a composer for This American Life and Limetown), vocalist and keyboard player Rachel Brotman (plays with Autre Ne Veut), guitarist Nick Lerman, drummer Dave Palazola, and vocalist Aviva Jaye.
