Multiple Grammy Nominee and Steinway Artist Gustavo Casenave, embraces us with his eclectic music world, in an adventurous evening of original music, featuring his new quintet blending Classical, Jazz and Tango. Hailed by the New York Times as “…exuberant, virtuosic performance…”, and by the Los Angeles Times as “… ferocious performance, emotionally wrenching playing…”, Casenave is widely known for his extreme passionate and virtuosic piano performances. This time he will be joined by Pedro Giraudo on bass, Nick Danielson on violin, Alejandro Aviles on saxophone, and Franco Pinna on drums.
“The uniqueness of this project is based on the search to best represent my music, that is truly a mix of what I am made of: Classical, Jazz and Tango. For this reason, I put together a quintet featuring top musicians from the three genres, where the biggest challenge and joy, is to find that perfect balance. I cannot think of a better place than National Sawdust to host this project with such amazing musicians!”
