DAN LAURIN
Swedish recorder player Dan Laurin is arguably one of the finest interpreters of Vivaldi around, having brought new life to the canonized Four Seasons concertos, by trading the conventional solo violin parts with the recorder, an instrument Vivaldi also wrote for. Laurin is a formidable musician who is able to convey Vivaldi’s bold ideas with a comparatively simple instrument. Together with select members from 1B1, Laurin succeeds in making Vivaldi sound as if the music was written with rock musicians in mind. Together with Laurin 1B1 will perform Vivaldi, alongside completely new music that is written for him, the orchestra, and a new instrument, the Eagle Recorder – turbo recorder designed to bring it to parity with an orchestra without amplification.
ANNA PARADISO
Anna Paradiso has within a short time established herself as a harpsichordist of great individuality and character. She has given concerts not only in Europe (Scandinavia, England, Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia) but also in the USA, in Japan, in Taiwan and in Hong Kong. She plays also clavichord, fortepiano and pianoforte.
JONAS NORDBERG
Swedish lutenist and guitarist Jonas Nordberg belongs to the new generation of exciting musicians in the field of plucked instruments. A graduate of the Mozarteum University Salzburg, he has an active schedule as a performing artist on lutes and guitars. Thereby his repertoire ranges from early renaissance lute music to contemporary soundscape explorations. In between we find solo repertoire for baroque lute, baroque guitar, early 19th century guitar and theorbo.
