Closely examining ideas of inclusivity and community, the Liberation Sessions from AFROPUNK will feature artists, local to Brooklyn, that address issues surrounding sex, gender, and race. AFROPUNK – an annual arts festival that celebrates and unifies the cultural cornerstones of AFROPUNK through music, film, skate, and art – originally sought to provide black people an opportunity to build community amongst the predominantly white punk subcultures.
